NIKON Monarch Gold Laser 1200 Range Finders (8358)

Nikon has once again stepped-up the pace in Laser Range Finders design and functionality - this time engineering a pocket sized, waterproof, fogproof unit made especially for western hunters and others who desire extreme long range precision and long term durability. Featuring a blend of cutting edge technology, painstaking design and rugged construction, the new Monarch Gold Laser 1200 Range Finders (8358) provide hunters with a new level of extreme range measurement accuracy.

Featuring Nikon's trademark Tru-Target Ranging System, the new Monarch Gold Laser 1200 Range Finders allow hunters to prioritize smaller and harder to range targets at the push of a button. In the First Target Priority mode, hunters can confidently range objects as small as fence posts or get an instant reading on lone animals on distant hillsides or in unobstructed clearings. The Distant Target Priority mode determines range to the farthest target the laser beam reaches, ideal for accurate ranging in those hunting situations where game animals may be partially obscured by grass or brush. The rangefinders unique reticle design also signals the user when ranging is in progress.

Weighing in at 9.8-ounces, (without the included CR2 Lithium battery) the 5.7" x 3.2" Monarch Gold Laser 1200 Range Finders have a selectable backlighting feature in the LCD display and quality Nikon 7-power multicoated optics for improved light transmission, clarity and color rendition. The range finders display also shows the user how much battery power is remaining. Utilizing a 25 millimeter objective lens, these laser range finders provide an exit pupil of 3.6mm for maximum brightness under less-than-ideal lighting conditions.

The adjustable eyepiece of the Monarch Gold Laser 1200 Range Finders provides a range of +/- 4 diopters and offers an incredible 18.6mm of eye relief - and it folds down for use with eyeglasses. In addition, the Monarch Gold Laser 1200 Range Finders have a real angle of view of 5.0 degrees, translating to a 35 degree apparent angle of view and a field of view of 262 feet at 1,000 yards.

Half-Yard Accuracy - Nikon Laser 1200 Range Finders:
Whether you hunt with a bow or rifle, Nikon has the right Laser Range Finder to match your hunting style and budget with fast, accurate reads, unmatched ½ yard precision and single button simplicity. When you crunch the numbers it becomes clear that Nikon’s unmatched ½ yard precision becomes the most important feature to consider for real world hunting situations.
For Example, take an average bow hunt: You’re 15 feet up a tree, the deer measures 25 yards from your position. The aiming distance, when compensating for angle, from you to the deer, is 24.5 yards- exactly ½ yard of difference. Move that deer out to 40 yards and the aiming distance would be 44.5 yards- all within Nikon’s level of accuracy. Now factor in that the competitors’ laser range finders are only accurate to ±1 yard, and you can see beyond the fuzzy math to how those less accurate laser range finders can actually have a negative impact on your shot.

Tru-Target Ranging System - Nikon Laser 1200 Range Finders:
First Target Priority Mode: Allows confident ranging of object as small as fence posts or to get an instant reading on that lone buck in the meadow.
Distant Target Priority Mode: Displays range to the farthest target among the targets measured, ideal for accurate ranging in typical hunting situations where game animals may be partially obscured by grass or brush.
