systems of the United States military. Based on the layering systems currently used by mountaineering professionals, the GEN-III
ECWCS features a new multiple layer insulation system that is adaptable to any climate or user. Each piece fits and functions either
alone, or when used in the system, to provide the most options for the user out in the filed.
